The Groves celebrates new road opening in Northeast Houston on December 8 with fun run and holiday celebration

Ashlar Development and The Groves celebrated the new road connection opening of Madera Run & Woodland Hills Drive in northeast Houston with the inaugural Dashing Through The Groves 5K fun run and free holiday family activities on Saturday, December 8.
With the new road connection, drive time to Beltway 8 is reduced to just a 5-minute commute for Groves residents, making The Groves one of the only actively selling master-planned communities within five minutes of the beltway.
Post-race, residents and the public enjoyed holiday family fun, including a snow hill, bounce house, trackless train, a performance by the West Lake Middle School Choir along with food trucks, music, and a hot chocolate station.
The run raised more than $8,5000 to benefit the YMCA of Greater Houston and Insperity Adaptive Sports Complex, which features amenities such as a barrier-free playground and Miracle League fields that allow children of all abilities to enjoy sports.
Ashlar Development also has plans to introduce a commercial mixed-use area to the Northeast area within The Groves at the intersection of Madera Run Parkway & Woodland Hills Drive, two major Harris County thoroughfares. Be on the lookout for additional information coming 2019 – please visit The Groves’ commercial mixed-use landing page to stay up to date or to get more information on becoming a tenant.
